Wayne Clark, 86, of Albemarle, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Stanly Regional Medical Center.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Gary Hunsucker and Rev. John Morgan, will be held at Vine Life Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 5, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Canton Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12.
At other times, the family will meet at his daughters home, Wendy Williams 28776 Canton Road, Albemarle.
He was born on July 3, 1926, to the late Roy Clark and the late Nollie Almond Clark. Wayne is also preceded in death by his wife in 2012, Della Thompson Clark.
Wayne is survived by a son, Michael Clark and companion, Mary Hash of Albemarle; a daughter, Wendy Williams and husband Neal of Albemarle; two grandchildren, Stephanie C. Summers and Ben Shank; and one sister, Sadie Burleyson of Albemarle.
Mr. Clark was a Veteran proudly serving in the US Army.
