Denton – Mrs. Vivian Wright Easter, age 85, of Buie Road, Denton, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Stanly Regional Medical Center in Albemarle.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at Denton Wesleyan Church conducted by Rev. Charlie Collins, Rev. Cliff “Sonny” Easter and Rev. Gerald Ward. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Easter was born April 19, 1927, in Littleton, N.H., to Stora Wright and Ethel Dwinle Wright Burnett.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Herbert Easter Sr.; sons, Kenneth Easter and Cliff Easter; daughter, Jewel Easter; great-granddaughter, Heather Hughes; and daughter-in-law, Donna Easter.
Survivors include sons, Bill Easter and David Easter and wife Kathy, all of Denton; daughters, Judy Morris and husband William of Richfield, Faith Easter Paolini and husband Joe of Framingham, Mass. and Shelia Vanzant and husband Greg Cockran of Denton; daughter-in-laws; Kay and Dora Easter, both of Denton; and special children, Danny Easter, Linda McConnell and husband Danny, Crystal Hughes and husband Jimmy and Zackery Stuart; 44 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family received friends on Thursday, January 31, 2013, from 6-8 p.m. at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton.
