Laurie Ann Furrow Drennen, 42, of Pemberton, W.Va. was granted her angel wings on January 4, 2013. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family that she loved dearly.
She was born September 25, 1970, in Madison, W.Va.
Throughout her life she touched many people with her giving heart and kindred spirit. She had a beautiful smile that would light up any room. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her children and grandchildren.
Laurie was preceded in death by her father, Jack Furrow; two grandfathers, James Tunget and Roy Douglas; a grandmother, Mabel Tunget; and great-grandparents, James and Gertrude Barnes.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband, Hershel Drennen of the home; two sons, Joshua Furr of Charlotte, N.C. and Justin Sullivan of Shady Spring, W.Va.; a daughter, Ashlee O’Neil of Oakboro, N.C.; five grandchildren, Levi, Addison, Chance, Ethan and Laurianna; her mother, Bonnie Furrow Mason and husband, John, of Salisbury, N.C.; two sisters, Jackline Fields and husband, John, of Albemarle, N.C., and Shellie Almond and husband, Jody, of Newland, N.C.; a grandmother, Velma Furrow Douglas of Pemberton, W.Va.; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Amber, BJ and Christian; and many friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel, with Bischop Clarence Lee officiating and Rev. Jody Almond assisting.
In keeping with Laurie’s wishes she was cremated after the services.
