Nancy Poplin

Thursday, January 17, 2013 — Nancy Whitley Poplin, age 75, of Virginia Beach, Va., died at 2:44 p.m. Friday, January 11, 2013, in Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach, Va.

Her graveside service was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in the Porter Cemetery, Norwood, N.C. Rev. Joe Smith officiated.

There was no formal visitation.

Born October 13, 1937, in Stanly County, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Noah I. Whitley and Mary Jane Smith Whitley.

She was a retired employee of Below Grocery in Virginia Beach, Va.

She was married to the late Frank F. Poplin who preceded her in death December 3, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Clifford F. Poplin of Virginia Beach, Va. and Jeffery F. Poplin of Como, N.C.; and one stepgrandchild.

Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
