Thursday, October 11, 2012 — Foye William Morton, 84, of Albemarle, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at the home of his daughter.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Mitchell Cook and Rev. Ron Honeycutt, will be at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Palestine Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his daughter’s home.
Mr. Morton was born on February 2, 1928, in Albemarle, to the late John Adam Morton and the late Nellie Venner Talbert Morton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Claudine Brown Morton, a grandson, James Whitley, and granddaughter, Angela Diane Whitley.
Mr. Morton is survived by his daughter, Belinda Mauldin and husband Tony of Albemarle; grandchildren, Foyelee, Anthony and Amanda Whitley, Lori Lisenby, Ricky Mauldin and Lisa Holshouser; and three great-grandchildren.
