Thursday, November 29, 2012 — Gayle Baucom Crump, 73, of Norwood, passed away Tuesday morning, November 27, 2012, at The Lutheran Home in Albemarle.
Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Thursday November 29, 2012, at Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Rev. Nathan Fox officiated and burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends from 3-4 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Crump was born September 20, 1939, in Anson County to the late Willie Shelvy and Glennie Odessa Deese Baucom.
She was a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and was last employed by The Lutheran Home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Craig “Rat” Crump; son, Jimmy Craig Crump Jr.; four sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Marlitt and Sonja Whitley, both of Norwood; brother, Rogers Baucom of Wadesboro; sisters, Perean Williams, Lucille Howell and Darlene Threatt, all of Polkton and Betty Rogers of Stanfield; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
