Thursday, February 7, 2013 — Lacey May Carpenter, 20, of Sanford, formerly of Norwood, passed away, Monday, February 4, 2013.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, February 10, 2013, at First Assembly of God in Albemarle. Rev. Bob Gruver will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be after the service at the Carpenter home on Bear Creek Church Road in Richfield.
Miss Carpenter was born January 16, 1993, in Lee County. She is the daughter of Chad Carpenter of Richfield and Leslie Andrews and husband Nathan of Mount Pleasant, S.C.
She attended South Stanly High School and Southern Lee High School of Sanford. She will be best remembered for her huge heart, charming smile and laughter that would light up any room. She loved the outdoors, animals and was very adventurous.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her siblings, Chelsey, Bryce and Skyler Rae; maternal grandfather, Albert “Bompo” Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Margaret “Memo” Carpenter; and paternal grandparents, Rick and Marlene Treadaway.
