Jean Long Morton, 72, of Albemarle, passed away on February 1, 2013, at her home.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle on Monday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Ron Honeycutt, will follow in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Stanly Gardens of Memory.
At other times, the family will meet at her home.
Mrs. Morton was born on November 22, 1940, to the late John Long and the late Ruby Long. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Tyler R. Morton.
She is survived by a son, Chris Morton of Clayton and fiancé Heather and her daughter, Jenna, of Albemarle; a brother, Harold Long of Troy; and a sister, Paula Stewart of Pinehurst.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 N. First St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
