Roland C. Burden, 66, of Flint Ridge Road, Albemarle, died December 21, 2012, at his residence.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012, at Cold Springs United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Mary Hatley. Burial will follow at Cabarrus Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m., prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Burden was born July 19, 1946, in Laurens County, S.C., son of the late William and Maggie Burden.
He enjoyed wheeling and dealing old and antique cars.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Fuller Burden; and a brother, William Burden.
He is survived by a daughter, Beverly Patterson and husband Dennis of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Jerry Burden and wife Traci of Locust, Roland Burden Jr. and wife Jennifer of Albemarle, Stephen Burden of Concord and Wayne Fuller and wife Wendy of Indian Trail; sister, Carolyn Frady; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild and one on the way.
Memorials may be directed to Community Alterative for special needs children, 111 Blairfield Ct., North Wilkesboro, NC or Cold Springs United Methodist Church, 2550 Cold Springs Road, Concord, NC 28025.
