Lillie Gertrude Talbert Huneycutt, 95, of Stanly County, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at Forrest Oaks Healthcare Center.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Tuesday, December 25, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral, officiated by Rev. Richard Carlisle and Rev. John Lindsay, will be at Poplin Grove Baptist Church, Albemarle on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Mrs. Huneycutt was born on April 27, 1917, in Stanly County, to the late Chapan P. Talbert and the late Ella Burgess Talbert. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Roy Lee Huneycutt in 2007; daughter, Joyce Currie; and son, Kenneth Huneycutt.
She is survived by two sons, James David Huneycutt and wife Shelva of Salisbury and Roy Lee Huneycutt Jr. and wife Nancy of Locust; daughter- in-law, Katie Huneycutt of Mount Pleasant; son- in- law, Lee Currie of Bolivia; eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
Memorials made be made to Hospice of Stanly County, 960 North 1st St., Albemarle, NC 28001.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Albemarle is serving the Huneycutt family.
