Sunday, April 15, 2012 — Judy Marlene Greene Lewis, 64 years of age, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her home in Stanfield.
Mrs. Lewis was born January 9, 1948 in Gastonia to the late Joseph Clyde Greene and Mae Love Smith Greene. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Ray Lewis; her son, Jabo Lewis; three brothers and three sisters.
The family received friends from 3-4 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland. The funeral was at 4 p.m. in the Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel of Midland officiated by Rev. Dr. Kinney Wallace. Burial followed in the Providence Church of God Cemetery of Locust. At other times, the family will meet at the home of her daughter, Carolyn, at 16204 Barbee Road, Stanfield.
Survivors include her children, Junior Lewis and his wife Theresa, and Carolyn Conner and her husband David, all of Stanfield, and Richard “Pete” Lewis of Charlotte; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
