Thursday, October 11, 2012 — Alvin Warren Mauldin, 77, of Albemarle, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012.
The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle on Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Dr. Wayne Bennett and Rev. Rod Denny, will be at Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel, Albemarle, on Friday, October 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Mr. Mauldin was born on November 24, 1934, in Stanly County, to the late Grover Pearl Mauldin and the late Ethel Mae Burleson Mauldin. He is also preceded in death by one brother, William Mauldin, and two sisters, Shelby Jean Mauldin and an infant.
Mr. Mauldin is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Patricia Murray Mauldin; two daughters, Deedie Sarif and husband Nick and Robin Reardon and husband John, all of Albemarle; two grandchildren, Grayson and Chase Sarif; brother, Wayne Mauldin of New London; two sisters, Loris Almond and husband Jerry of Badin and Marie Thompson and husband Bobby of Virginia.
