Gary Wayne Efird, 65, of Stanly County, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012.
The family received friends at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle, on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, from 6-8 p.m.
The funeral service, officiated by Mike Seals, will be held at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, on Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Aquadale Baptist Church.
At other times, the family will meet at his home.
Mr. Efird was born on May 9, 1947, in Stanly County, to the late Brady Raymond Efird and the late Louise Estelle Faggart Efird.
Mr. Efird is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy Ann Fields Efird; son, Patrick Efird and wife Misti of Robbins; daughter, Leah Lambert and husband Shaun of Albemarle; stepsons, Mike Seals and wife Toni of Rock Hill and Robert Seals and wife Jaime of New London; stepdaughter, Gloria Mitchell and husband Joey of Longs, S.C.; nine grandchildren, Amber, Charoki, Macenzi, Brandon, Tyler, Shae, Lawson, Dalton and Wesley.
Mr. Efird was a long time employee of Food Lion and worked at Century 21 in property maintenance.
