Forrest Oakes has begun a new program titled “Lunch with a Local Celebrity.”
The idea behind the program is to invite guests in for a small personal luncheon with a few of our amazing residents.
The guests will be able to visit with our residents and answer questions they may have and also learn about our folks as well.
Forrest Oakes was honored to have Miss Stanly County Jordan Gallagher, as our inaugural guest.
She visited and had lunch with four of our beautiful ladies, Pallie Taylor, Dean Curlee, Rubie Lee, and Thelma Hartsell.
She shared her experience of her reign as Miss Stanly County and also her personal life.
Our ladies were excited to tell her about their experiences in last year’s beauty pageant at Forrest Oakes, “The Girl of all Seasons”, as well as other details of their lives.
The thought process behind this program is to give our residents the opportunity to be a part of our community and also to let our guests see what gems are right here in our beautiful county, right in their local nursing home.
