Monday, January 30, 2012 —
A New London man was arrested recently after he failed to notify the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office of his address change.
Stephen Michael Delsanto, 55, of 38855 Tower Road, New London, was arrested Jan. 19 for probation/parole and sex offender violation.
Delsanto is a registered sex offender and is therefore required by N.C. General Statutes to notify the Sheriff’s Office of any change in his registered information, including a change of address.
He, however, changed his address and failed to notify the Sheriff’s Office. He was placed in Stanly County Jail with a $2,000 bond and is awaiting a Feb. 13 court date.
