Sunday, November 16, 2008 — Two men have been arrested in connection to a breaking and entering that happened in Oakboro last Wednesday.

Around 12:15 p.m. Nov. 12, a great deal of the personal property of Ross Allan Jordan III of Oakboro was reported stolen, including a 50-inch plasma television, laptop, an all-in-one printer, digital camera, stereo system, an X-Box video gaming system with at least 25 game discs and a DVD player.

This led authorities on a search for the robbers, both 29-year-old white males, and in turn, they found them.

Curtis Russell Lloyd, of 4877 Club View Road, Concord, who was arrested Nov. 12 by Stanly County Sheriff officers, had a portion of the stolen goods in his possession, which were recovered by police.

Lloyd was charged with breaking and entering and felony larceny. He is being held in the Stanly County Jail under $5,000 bond and has a Dec. 22 court date.

Brian Cale McDonald, of 5105 Flowstone Road, Concord was arrested by Cabarrus County Sheriff officers on Nov. 13.

In addition to being charged with breaking and entering, and larceny, McDonald was charged with possession of a controlled substance, felony drug paraphernalia, and probation violation.

He is being held in the Cabarrus County Jail under $45,500 bond and has a Dec. 15 court date.

Between the two arrests, the majority of property, valued near $4,000 was recovered.

There is no relation between the victim and McDonald, though Lloyd is a former employee of his.
