Daniel’s practiced law since 1982

Sunday, October 12, 2008 — John Daniel is running for the office of District Court Judge for Judicial District 20A.

Daniel is a North Carolina native and a longtime resident of Richmond County.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from Western Carolina University and his Juris Doctor from Campbell University.

Daniel has practiced law in Richmond County since his graduation from law school in 1982.

Prior to law school, Daniel served in the United States Army and was engaged in small business.

During undergraduate and law school he worked in a variety of jobs.

Daniel was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 1982.

He was admitted to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, The United States District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina and the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina in 1992.

He was sworn in as a court arbitrator in 1996. Daniel’s practice has included criminal and civil cases.

Criminal matters have included a wide range of charges ranging from minor traffic matters to murder trials.

Civil matters have included all matters heard in District court to include matters involving family law, juveniles, and non-family law matters as well as matters in Superior, Federal District and Administrative courts.

Daniel is married to Vickie aniel, a lifelong resident of Richmond County. They have been married for 21-plus years.

When not practicing law, Daniel assists his wife in her music ministry and has donated a considerable amount of time to projects to help the handicapped and ministries throughout the United States.
