A Richfield man has been charged with five felony counts involving larceny.
Kelvin Maurice Patton, 43, of 329 NC Highway 49 in Richfield was arrested and charged Nov. 26.
The charges came after the Stanly County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a mower, blower, chainsaw and related yard tools had been stolen from his residence.
After an investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for Patton charging him with one count of felony larceny, four counts of felony obtaining property by false pretense, and three counts of misdemeanor larceny.
He was arrested and processed into the Stanly County Detention Facility where he was given a $10,000 secured bond.
Patton is scheduled to appear in Stanly County District Court on Jan. 2
