• Fat Cat Customs, N.C. 24-27 West, Albemarle, reported the breaking and entering of a vehicle and larceny of radio and wheels, June 20.
• Brittany Nicole Orndorff, of McSwain Road, Albemarle, reported a breaking and entering, June 21.
• Christopher Stephen Sarif, of Rockhole Road, Stanfield, reported the breaking and entering of a vehicle, larceny of a firearm and damage to a vehicle, June 22.
• Bennie Joel Burleson, of Canton Road, Albemarle, reported a vehicle theft, June 23.
• Michael Wayne Hartsell, of Lee-Furr Road, Norwood, reported a breaking and entering and damage to a door, June 24.
• Willie Anthony Allen, of Gaddys Ferry Road, Norwood, reported the larceny of a mailbox and post, June 24.
• Marco Garcia Garca Vega, of Loop Road, Norwood, reported a breaking and entering and larceny, June 25.

• Kathy Carver, of Ingram Road, New London, was issued a criminal summons on a charge of worthless check, June 19.
• Christy Lynn Gainey, of N.C. 49, Richfield, was issued an order for arrest on a charge of failure to appear, June 19.
• Homer Gerald Henderson, of Harper Hearne Road, New London, was issued a warrant on a charge of assault by pointing gun and intimidating witness, June 19.

57 nursing homes win enhancement grants
Gov. Bev Perdue announced Jan. 19 that 57 North Carolina nursing homes are receiving grant funds totaling more than $640,000 that will be used to improve facilities to the benefit of their residents.
