Anna Emily Harris and Arthur ‘Jonathan’ Faircloth were united in marriage on September 10, 2011, at Centre Pointe Church in Oakboro. Rev. Reese Linnell officiated the 12 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Patricia Harris of Albemarle. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Harris and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grant Efird. Her honorary grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Duncan and Gatha Whitley.
The groom is the son of Arthur and Wanda Faircloth of New Hope, N.C. His grandparents are Elna Morton, the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Faircloth and the late Leon Morton.
The bride is a teacher at Central Elementary School and the groom is an employee with the city of Concord.
The bride wore an elegantly embroidered organza gown with a strapless bodice and A-line skirt which included a floral detail. The dress had a chapel length train. She wore a fingertip length veil that was trimmed with floral detailing.
Matron of honor was Alana Jarrell. Bridesmaids were Karen Deaton, Alicia Chavis, Lindsey Chavis-Turner and Kaytee Hill.
Best man was the groom’s father, Arthur Faircloth. Groomsmen were Mark Faircloth, Tony Deaton, Donnie Cornelison and Don Jarrell.
Savannah and Kayleigh Faircloth stood with their daddy and were included in the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom gave special necklaces to Savannah and Kayleigh during the ceremony.
Soloist was Tony Deaton and Judy Tucker directed the wedding.
The bride’s parents hosted a reception immediately following the ceremony at Centre Pointe Church.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner on the eve of the wedding at the Fresh House in Locust.
Following a honeymoon trip to Sevierville, Tenn. the couple is residing in Albemarle.
