Kathryn Elizabeth Grim and Zachary Warner Jepsen wed on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the Manor House in Mason, Ohio. The Rev. Laura Gundel performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harley Grim of Wyoming, Ohio. Kathryn works as a senior communication specialist at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory outside of Chicago. She graduated with the class of 2000 from Wyoming High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication with a minor in creative writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her master’s degree in journalism with a focus on science writing from Northwestern University.
The groom is the son of Col. and Mrs. Norman Jespen of Albemarle, N.C. Zachary is a Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps and serves as a logistics officer for 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He graduated from Albemarle High School with the class of 2003. He earned his bachelor’s degree in English and journalism and mass communication with a minor in poetry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where the couple first met.
They spent their honeymoon in Peru.
