Mr. and Mrs. David Ebertz of Gillette, Wyo. and Mr. and Mrs. Timothy York of Evansville, Ind. announce the engagement of their daughter, Carly Elise Ebertz of Morrisville, to Michael Ray Lee of Morrisville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Lee of Norwood.
Miss Ebertz attended high school and college in Evansville, Ind. She received a BA from the University of Evansville in Political Science and International Studies with a concentration in European Studies. She lived and studied in England for four months. She is a Technical Assistant in Resource Development in the Corporate Office of N.C. Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance in Raleigh.
Mr. Lee attended South Stanly High School and North Carolina State University, majoring in Economics. He has worked as a journeyman new construction plumber for the last 10 years.
The wedding is planned for October 20, 2012, at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill.
Carly and Michael met in the summer of 2008 on a World War II tour of Europe outside of Paris, France and their friendship developed in Weimar, Germany. Their honeymoon will be in Hopkins, Belize.
