Shaeffer-Nance Wedding

Monday, January 7, 2013 — Amber Michelle Shaeffer of Shallotte, N.C. and Adam William Nance of Stanfield, N.C. were united in marriage at 1 p.m. December 1, 2012, at Grace Design United Methodist Church in Danville, Va., pastor James Reed officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Richard and Cara Brower of Shallotte, and the sister of Shannon Shaeffer, Benjamin Shaeffer, Bethany Brower, Richard Brower and Elizabeth Brower. She is the granddaughter of Edith Brower and the late Dennis and Carol Fleshman. She is a 2010 graduate of Gardner-Webb University and is currently employed as a Sign Language interpreter in South Boston, Va.

The groom is the son of Randy and Myra Nance of Stanfield, N.C. and the brother of Lisa Nance of Asheville, N.C. He is the grandson of the late Roy and Esther Foster of Mocksville, N.C. and the late Bill and Mitchel Nance of Stanfield, N.C. He is a 2008 graduate of Averett University with a double major in aerospace management: flight operations and aviation business and is currently employed as a flight instructor of Averett University in Danville, Va.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Lindsay Young as her maid of honor. The flower girl was the bride’s sister, Elizabeth Brower. The groom selected Joey Kierson for his best man.

Following a reception held at the couple’s church, New Life Community Church in Danville, they spent a week in Jefferson, N.C. They are now home in Danville, Va.
