Heather Copley and Mark Russell were united in marriage on August 3, 2012, at their home in Oakboro with Todd Tucker officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Tana and Paul Huneycutt of Oakboro and the late James Copley formerly of Delbarton, W.Va. Her grandparents are Judy Helms of Oakboro and the late Dr. Rev. Charles Helms and the late Charles and Nancy Copley, formerly of Delbarton, W.Va.
The bride is a graduate of Stanly Community College with an associates degree in Applied Science for Cyber Crime Technology. She is currently the General Manager at Sonic Drive-In Restaurant in Albemarle.
The groom is the son of Ken and Sylvia Russell of Locust. His grandparents are Victor Smith of Norwood and the late Ruth Smith and the late Lloyd and Zora Belle Russel, formerly of Oakboro.
The groom is a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College and UNCC with a degree in Surveying & Civil Engineering. He is employed at C&S Flooring in Locust.
Bridesmaids were Charlene Copley and Jessica Jacobson. Flower girl was Emma Mcilwaine, daughter of the bride.
Groomsman was Matthew Russell. Carter Evans and Maddie Evans were program attendants.
A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bridal couple.
After a honeymoon trip to Nassau and Free Port, Bahamas, the couple is residing in Oakboro.
