Saturday, October 2, 2010, the daughter of Michael and Pattie Huneycutt, Makayla Danielle Huneycutt, was wed to Russell Chase Mabry, son of Mark and Jackie Mabry, in the chapel at Camp Barnhardt in Badin. Grandparents of the Bride were Wm. Robert and the late Zora Almond of Albemarle and Melvin and Marie Huneycutt of Albemarle. Grandparents of the Groom were Larry and Carolyn Hopkins of Mt Gilead and Ted and Reba Mabry of Albemarle.
The wedding party consisted of Matron of Honor, sister of the Bride Miena Powell; a Maid of Honor, sister of the Bride Anya Huneycutt, and friends of the Bride Jessica H. Barringer, Krista E. Lowder and Whitney Flowe. Flower-girls Kaylee Herrin and Ellie Shoe and ring-bearers Elijah Powell and Gavin Shoe also were attendants.
Pastor Mark Mabry stood by his son as The Best Man and the Groomsmen attending were Andrew Huneycutt, Jacob Herrin, Jeffrey Hunt and Shawn Eury all close friends of the groom. Rev. Delane Burris conducted the ceremony as a close friend of both families.
After a Caribbean Honeymoon and two lovely years together, Makayla and Russell Mabry are awaiting the arrival of a baby boy in January of 2013.
