Mr. and Mrs. Boyce H. Philemon of New London celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 8 with a luncheon at the Keith Moore American Legion Hall in New Salem Township. It was hosted by their children.
They were married on Sept. 5, 1962, in Spart-anburg, S.C.
Mrs. Philemon is the former Patricia Clifton, daughter of the late Paul and Susie Perry Clifton and George and Lila Garnett Butler.
Mr. Philemon is the son of the late Willie and Martha Edwards Philemon. He retired from Kopper’s Chemical Company in Chicago, Ill. and is currently employed with Lowe’s Home Improvement Center in Saliabury.
Their children are Richard Philemon of New Salem and Tara Hanley of New London. They have four grandchildren.
