Chelsea Rose Monk and Patrick Neal Dunston were united in marriage on August 25, 2012, at Edgewater on Lake Tillery in Norwood. Rev. Hubert Clinard officiated the 6:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenny and Lydia Monk of Albemarle. Her grandparents are Bernice Whitley of Albemarle and the late Jim Whitley, Ann Monk of Crystal River, Fla. and Louise Monk of Mosheim, Tenn. and the late Denver Monk.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Albemarle High School. She graduated from Mercy School of Nursing in 2009 with her RN degree. She is employed at Stanly Regional Medical Center, Albemarle.
The groom is the son of Tom and Kirk Dunston of Conover. His grandparents are JoNeal Robinson of Clinton and the late Ralph Robinson and the late J.T. and Charlotte Dunston.

The bride wore the lovely Teagan, ivory in color by Maggie Sottero. The romance of the Gossamer Chiffon lends itself to this beautifully designed handcrafted gown with an illusion one-shoulder transitioning into an eye-catching double back strap. Rich and stylishly beaded, the embellishments cascade an eloquence along the side waist and shoulder.
Maid of honor was Amanda Poplin. Bridesmaids were Ashley Aaron, Jackie Flake, Laura Dunston, Anna Curlee and Anna-Yates Lipcsak.
Tom Dunston, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ellis Dunston, Matt Dunston, Scott Reenan, Travis Gnida and Nathan Russell.
A dinner and dance, hosted by the bride’s parents, followed the ceremony at The Tillery Tradition Country Club.
A rehearsal dinner at Edgewater on Tillery was hosted by the groom’s parents.
A bridal luncheon hosted by Cindy Dry, Karen Cranford, Sarah Bivens and Kathy Almond was at the lake home of Cindy Dry on the morning of the wedding.
After a honeymoon trip to The Excellence Resort, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple is residing in Albemarle.
