Emily Dana Horning of Charlotte and Daniel Wayne Furr of Albemarle were united in marriage on July 21, 2012 at Forest Hill United Methodist Church, Concord, N.C. Rev. Frankie Gentry officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Steve and Susan Horning of Keizer, Ore.
She graduated from Pfeiffer University in 2009. She is the Director of Children’s and Family Ministries at Forest Hill United Methodist Church, Concord, N.C.
The groom is the son of Barry and Martha Furr of Albemarle, N.C.
He graduated from Pfeiffer University in 2009. He is Student Activities Director at Bethel Baptist Church, Locust, N.C.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and her sister.
The bride wore a one shoulder champagne ball gown which was embellished at the waist and shoulder with pearl and crystal accents. The chapel train was accented with covered buttons and the fingertip veil also included crystal accents. She also wore a 106 year old gold bracelet which is a family heirloom.
Matron of honor was Liz Mangels, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Alison Furr, Jenny Nicely, Brooke Harris and Lindsey Radke. Flower girl was Seren Dornsmith and ring bearer was Camden Nicely.
Barry Furr, father of the groom, served as best man. Ushers were Nathan Furr, Corey Fraley, Bryan Nicely and Bob Nicely.
Brandon Snow was soloist and guitarist.
A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was at The Lakes in Kannapolis, N.C. One week later, a second reception was in Salem, Ore. at the Williamette Heritage Center hosted by the bride’s parents.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was at Union Street Bistro on July 20, 2012.
Numerous showers were hosted by friends and family in Concord, Albemarle and Salem, Ore.
The couple is residing in Charlotte, N.C.
