Lauren McClary and Charles Robert Henry were united in marriage on September 15, 2012, at Pawleys Island, S.C. Rev. C. Nels Ledwell officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Brooks McClary of Monroe and Robert Alexander McClary Jr. of Pawleys Island, S.C. Her grandparents are Frances Juette Brooks of Marshville and the late Melvin Keith Brooks, formerly of Marshville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander McClary Sr. of Concord and the late Lillian Wynema Honeycutt McClary, formerly of Kannapolis.
The bride graduated from Forest Hills High School in 2002 and UNC-Chapel Hill in 2006.
The groom graduated from Forest Hills High School in 2000.
The groom is the son of Cecelia Efird Cook of Albemarle and Dr. Gary Wayne Henry of Marshville. His grandparents are Kathleen Burleson Efird of Albemarle and the late Bobby Lee Efird, the late Wanda Hedrick Henry, formerly of Albemarle and the late James Brown Henry, formerly of Albemarle.
Bridesmaids were Jacalyn McClary White, sister of the bride; Carla Brooks McClary, sister of the bride and Buffie Henry Beach, sister of the groom.
Groomsmen were Dr. Gary Wayne Henry, father of the groom; Garrett Cole Henry, brother of the groom and Jamie LaBruce Beach, brother-in-law of the groom. Brantley Edwards White, brother-in-law of the groom, served as usher.
Flower girl was Campbell Brooks McClary, niece of the bride. Ring bearer was Lewis Alexander White, nephew of the bride. Nicholas Keaton Henry, brother of the groom, served as honorary junior groomsman.
Honored guests were Charles McClary White and Brantley Edwards White, nephews of the bride.
Barbara Brooks Morgan, aunt of the bride, served as reader and Marilyn Lowe Upright, a family friend, was the greeter.
A reception following the ceremony was hosted by the bride’s parents at Litchfield by the Sea Beach Club, Pawleys Island, S.C.
A rehearsal dinner hosted by the groom’s parents was on September 14, 2012, at Reserve Harbor Yacht Club, Pawleys Island, S.C.
The couple is residing in Marshville.
