Sunday, March 7, 2010 — Lois Fair of New London and Jeff Fair of Midland announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Renee Fair, to John Christopher Barnes, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Barnes of Rocky Mount. Miss Fair graduated from Albemarle High School in 1999 and attended Stanly Community College and Central Piedmont Community College. Mr. Barnes is a 1998 graduate of SouthWest Edgecomb High School and is self-employed. A wedding is planned for October 2010 in Rocky Mount.
