Over the next few weeks, the Albemarle Christian Bookstore and Hallmark will be closing its doors and will no longer be able to serve the needs of a community that we have loved for many years.
It has been an excruciating decision, but has become one that is unavoidable due to the economic condition facing our country, and more specifically, our county.
Many of you who shop here face the same dire situation and understand exactly what our store is going through.
Even though we are saddened by the reality of our decision, we are confident of three things.
First and foremost, we serve a faithful God who has been exalted in our store since the day its doors were opened over 30 years ago, and we know that He will be honored in how we handle the closing of those same doors.
Secondly, our lives have been made richer because of loyal customers like yourself. You have been family to us, and we pray that we have been like family to you, too.
Finally, we are convinced that the Lord calls us to live with hope about the future more than regrets about the past. Better days lie ahead of Albemarle andâStanly County, and we are excited about what role we may find to play in the spiritual growth of this place that we call home.
And so we say, “THANK YOU!” Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives, and we pray that we will continue to walk together even after this part of the journey ends.
