This Weekend In Stanly County
In case you missed it, we slipped into fall last weekend. But in this part of the world that doesn’t mean the end of summer weather. There’ll be plenty more warm days and nights to enjoy outside activity. We may have to say goodbye to those juicy tomato sandwiches, but there’ll be pumpkins to carve soon.

This Weekend In Stanly County
Stanly County outdoes itself this weekend with its own brand of unique entertainment. Take your pick from a cruise-in and burn-out, a lawn and garden tractor pull, drag races, a back-to-back grudge pull, and a corn maze. There’s a concert in the park and an orchestra in a theater, volleyball and soccer to watch, and fishing tournaments to enter.

This Weekend In Stanly County
There is plenty of activity in Stanly County to draw us outdoors in these cooler autumn days and nights. Better carry one of those fold-up lawn chairs around with you and be ready to park it beside a ball field, or at an outdoor concert or a festival. Or you can get lost in a corn maze, cheer on the runners at a road race or try again for that big bass with your name on it that’s out there in one of our beautiful lakes.

This Weekend In Stanly County
As summer gives way to fall, Stanly County takes advantage of cooler weather and ramps up outdoor activities. Throughout the month we’ll see festivals, fishing tournaments, soccer games, races and outdoor movies at sunset. And lest we forget: this weekend, in a special outdoor program, Stanly County pays tribute to those who lost their lives 10 years ago on 9/11.
