The darling of Stanly County — Kellie Pickler — said “yes” to her songwriter beau, Kyle Jacobs, on a Florida beach at sunset on June 15, just 11 days before her 24th birthday on June 28.
June 15 holds special meaning for Kellie, for it was the birthday of her beloved grandmother, Faye Pickler, the inspiration for her hit song.
The country music superstar will be singing with Rascal Flatts at Raleigh’s Time Warner Cable Amphitheatre Friday night and then at Charlotte’s Verison Wireless Amphitheatre Saturday night.
