The Stanly Community College’s (SCC) Foundation held its board orientation and retreat recently on the Albemarle Campus.
The annual event was developed to prepare incoming volunteers for their role as SCC Foundation Board Members.
“The Foundation Board is very fortunate to have the caliber of volunteers it has. These leaders will propel the Foundation into the future of fund raising and community involvement,” said Janet Sistare, SCC’s Foundation director.
The new leadership board is comprised of local business and civic leaders who bring a diverse background in many areas.
“With their commitment to the standards that make SCC’s Foundation relevant, there is no doubt that this board will enhance trust within the community. They have proposed an impressive agenda of initiatives that reflect their energy and passion for this organization,” she said.
