July 16, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. - Thrilling Thursday at Dan Nicholas Park for children 5 years-5th grades. The cost is $10 and a bag lunch.

July 8, 7 p.m. - Youth meeting concerning the Camp Caswell trip. Parents need to attend if they have children going on the trip. The youth need snack items to take with them to camp. They are asking for donations of chips, crackers, peanuts, lollipops, drinks and any other snack items.

The altar flowers on July 5 were given to the glory of God and in honor of our troops and former soldiers.
VBS Mission Project raised money for soldiers so they can talk to their families through gifts of calling cards. The children brought in coins each night and raised $65 for this worthwhile project. Thanks to all those who participated.

The children’s sermon on July 5 was “The Purpose of the Church” and the adult sermon was “God’s Word Is Settled In Heaven” from Matthew 5:17-19.
Armed Forces
Please remember our church members who are also in various Armed Forces and unable to be here day to day because they are helping to protect us and this country. They are: Travis Dry, at basic training in Fort Knox, Ky., of Pine Grove; Kyle Efird, stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville; and Bradley Williams, stationed in Tennessee; all of St. Martin’s. Chris Lord of Charity Baptist Church is stationed at Ft. Riley in Kansas. If you know of any other service personnel, please let me know.
