Recycling
The city of Locust is pleased to announce the introduction of a curbside recycling collection service to residential property owners within the city limits.
The city has contracted with Green Pieces Recycling to provide the collection of curbside recycling service.
Locust citizens should log onto www.locustnc.com or www.greenpiecesrecycling.net, or call (704) 888-5260 or (704) 787-4610 to request a recycling bin and initiate service.
Fly the Flag
The Locust Lions will place a United States Flag in front of your home or business 10 times a year for only $25 per year. This is a wonderful way to help the Lions and show your colors. The streets where most of the homes have this service look so good when the flags are put out. It is inspiring to see the red white and blue flags waving in the breeze.
You can start now by calling Leonard Howell (704) 888-2239 or mail your name and address with a check to: Locust Lions, P.O. Box 284, Locust, NC 28097.
