Friday, November 16, 2012 —
On Nov. 17, Pfeiffer University will have bluegrass music on the front lawn, an event featuring bluegrass band OLDGRASS. The event will coincide with Falcon Preview Day Open House and will take place on the Pfeiffer lawn from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Those planning to attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and the show will be moved inside the chapel in the event of rain.
OLDGRASS members are Jared Boyd, Josh Allen, Brandy Miller, Daniel Greeson and Ben Marshall, who came together in 2010 for the 75th Annual Galax Fiddlers Convention and placed first in the youth band competition. The band performs music from a wide variety of genres including old time, gospel, bluegrass and country.
Attendees are also invited to attend the women’s and men’s basketball games against King College, which will take place at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
For additional information, contact Michelle Inman, campus guest coordinator, at (704) 463-3055.
