The 10th annual Outdoorsman’s Bonanza will be March 23. The prize package is the largest ever with over $162,500 in prizes to be given away. The event will be at Market Station, West Main Street, and will draw a crowd for the entertainment, food and the cash and prizes to be given away the day of the event.
There will be special early-bird drawings at 12 p.m. for those who purchase tickets before Feb. 14. The early bird drawing includes a John Deere Gator, two drawings of $2,500 each and 10 drawings of $1,000 each. The 13 early bird winning tickets will go back in the drawing for the grand prize drawings starting at 12:35 p.m.
The grand prize drawings will include an additional John Deere Gator, a 2013 Honda TRX, EZ-GO Mossy Oak camouflage golf cart, a 2013 Harley-Davidson Softail Deluxe, a 2013 Harley-Davidson Softail Fat Boy, a 2013 Tahoe Pontoon, a 2013 Chevrolet 4x4 crew cab, eight guns, a gun safe and 12 cash prizes. The 2013 Chevrolet 4x4 crew cab truck is on display at Friendly Chevrolet Buick in Albemarle.
Doors will open the day of the event at 11 a.m. and ticket holders do not have to be present to win. Only 3,200 tickets will be sold for this year’s Outdoorsman’s Bon-anza and tickets sold out last year in February.
Bonanza tickets are $100 each, cash or check only, and may be purchased in Albemarle at Friendly Chevrolet Buick, Quality Equipment (John Deere), God’s Country Outfitters, RPM Cycles and the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation.
They are also available in Norwood at Cadillac Sign and in Troy at Friendly Chevrolet Buick or from a member of the Outdoorsman’s Bonanza planning committee. Members include: Beth Plowman, Rudy Cranford, David Horton, Jimmy Russell, John Drew, Kathy Almond and Folger Koontz.
All proceeds from the bonanza benefit the Stanly Regional Medical Center Foundation, the Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation and the Stanly County Shrine Club.
