Albemarle Downtown Development Corporation (ADDC) and Harris Teeter Neighborhood Food and Pharmacy present the 4th annual Stanly County Winter Wine Festival from 12-5 p.m. Feb. 23. The Winter Wine Festival is at Market Station, 100 Railroad St., Albemarle.
Several of North Caro-lina’s wineries and vineyards will be on hand. This wine extravaganza is open to the public; everyone must be 21 years of age to enter. Tickets are $20 each in advance or $25 at the door the day of the event. Admission includes a souvenir glass, wine sampling and entertainment. Tickets are on sale now.

The American Red Cross, Stanly County Chapter, will conduct its 10th “Heroes” Campaign with individuals who sign up to be Heroes for the American Red Cross by raising $1,000 for the local chapter.

Mission Baptist Church, Stanfield and First Baptist Church of Locust will sponsor a egg hunt at 10 a.m. March 23 at Locust Town Hall in Locust. Rain date will be March 30 at 10 a.m.
