Stanly Community College (SCC) will host a Career Fair on Feb. 26 in the Webb Student Center on the Albemarle campus. The fair will be from 2-4 p.m. and is open to students, as well as the general public.
SCC has become a resource to the community for career and workforce development. Programs are planned to provide state-of-the-art training in order to provide success in today’s workforce. Get a Plan, Get the Skills and Get the Job are part of the Career Center portal on the college’s website. This portal features job search videos, tips and tricks for resumes/interviews, along with the latest information on job fairs, business expos and free seminars.
The website also contains a Job Portal where employers can list openings in their company and students can post their resumes and search for employment.
In addition, SCC offers a Human Resource Develop-ment class for those wishing to learn additional job seeking/job keeping skills.
SCC is excited to open this event to students as well as the public. This is an opportunity for networking, learning more about career fields and a chance to practice marketing your experience and skills to potential employers.
Business representatives attending the Career Fair will include public and private employers, large and small businesses and those inside and outside of Stanly County.
Employers who wish to participate in the Stanly Community College Career Fair should contact Delia Carriker, coordinator of student outreach and support, school of health and public services, at (704) 991-0161.
