The Girl Scouts of Stanly County will sponsor a blood drive from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. March 6, in First Lutheran Church gym, Albemarle. For every person that donates blood, a box of Girl Scout cookies will be donated to the troops. This drive is through the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas, an independent, locally-managed, non-profit community blood center. To make an appointment, call Tammy at (704) 982-3096. Donors must weigh a minimum of 120 pounds and must be at least 16 years of age to give blood. Cookies are also still available at many sites, like the one above with Troop 366.
